2D Animation meets high tech - Microsoft's Autocomplete For Animation, And It’s Incredible
2D Animation meets high tech - Microsoft's Autocomplete For Animation, And It’s Incredible "Unveiled at the Siggraph Asia conference, it doesn’t appear that a formal white paper has been released, but there is this illustrative video of the tech. You can watch as someone draws a fish once, then, upon drawing a single line for the next frame, the software suggests a skeleton to trace. It’s responsive, too, shaping its wireframes around your sketches in real time. And it also features a few other neat tricks, like if you begin filling in a pattern, it can sense that and suggest more of the pattern—or if you add color or detail to the first frame of your animation, it can duplicate it across the entire work."

How to design a set for an animated film
How to design a set for an animated film by Creative Bloq "One of the most important aspects of any set in animation is the fact that it should work as a stage for the characters and story, as well as any action that takes place within it. When you look back at some of the classic feature film animations, you'll notice that each frame is designed so that it contains the best composition to tell the story. Your set design should be no different: it should first and foremost be designed for the camera and story."

Creating Better Animation Reference Using High Speed Video
Creating Better Animation Reference Using High Speed Video from AWN.com "While there are some great sources for reference on the web, it’s seldom exactly what’s needed and often fails to correspond to the specific needs of a shot or sequence. It’s better to create one’s own reference if at all possible. We want to teach students to be keen observers, to see accurately and be able to analyze of weight, force, acceleration, etc.. In this post I demonstrate the use of low cost, high-speed video for creating better animation reference."

Keeping a healthy relationship with your coworkers and supervisors with good communication
Keeping a healthy relationship with your coworkers and supervisors with good communication from Life Hacker "Your partner drops the ball and forgets to pay rent on time. You’re hit with a late fee. The practical thing to do? Come up with a solution so it doesn’t happen again. But you’re angry, so instead, you criticize your partner, and a fight erupts. Criticizing is one of seven common habits that can destroy healthy communication."
Never let anger and frustration drive the way you address a coworker. Also remember that every day is different for everyone. Life happens! that's a fact. Don't let your way or your time of doing things cloud your judgement over others.

Fans replace Dragon Ball Z’s animation with finger puppets, keep the awesome fighting by Rocket News 24 "Many Japanese animation fans, after having their hopes dashed and their hearts broken one too many times, come to accept the truism that it’s just not possible to make a good live-action version of their favorite anime. Right now, it’s Attack on Titan’s turn in the hot seat, as its two recently released movies have been roundly roasted by fans of the original work and critics alike, and years ago Dragonball Evolution had far more people groaning than cheering as their left theaters."

Make Compliance Training Interesting: Give Us Animation
Make Compliance Training Interesting: Give Us Animation by Forbes "The Road Runner and Wylie Coyote never uttered a word in their short snippet cartoons that lasted 5-7 minutes each. It kept my young brain occupied, and with a little reading (Acme (insert product here) ), one could decipher the message. Why can’t compliance training be more like that? Animation, grabs your attention, gives you a message and on you go …. actually remembering the intended lesson."
